Four words, one hyphen, Would-Be Train Robbers are Sacramento’s three-piece equivalent of “The Rolling Stones”. Their sound is splashed with 60’s soul and 90’s drive. Kolton James Kammerer is not only the lead singer, he is also the lead AND rhythm guitar player. With songs like “Can’t Ya See Me Girl“, a Bluesy Rock song that keeps you moving with leads on par with Brian May (Queen). Kolton is supported by an incredibly solid rhythm section consisting of Stauch Golik on Bass and Paul Maas on Drums. With their ability to change at the drop of a dime and to fill in the space where most bands would have a second guitar. This three-piece feels like a Rock Orchestra! In their dark and soulful ballad “Can’t Understand” Stauch takes over lead vocals for a heart-wrenching/soul touching experience.
Recently the band has taken some time off from performing to write. Their next performance is on Saturday, August 17th at 8:00 p.m. with ‘Drive-Thru Mystics’ of Sacramento, and ‘The Hard Way’ of Olympia, WA. You are guaranteed to hear something new!
