MAKE IT WORK!!! SHOW ALERTS FOR APRIL 2022!!

I guess maybe I forgot how to work the internet. I am old(er) now, and my grammar is absolutely atrocious. I once played music with someone who would point out every misspelllling I made when I would post about local music stuff. I wonder if they are reading this, it’s going to drive them mad! LOL! But really, it’s bad and this is something that I do not make any money from, so have very low expectations!

Anyway, I won’t get into details about the past two years because no one cares, it sucked. One thing that does not suck is that there are still people in Sacramento trying to keep the music scene afloat. We have lost a lot of venues, and sadly new ones do not pop up as regularly. Want to know what is left? Here is the current list of local venues, which is NOT A FULL LIST of where you can find shows around town (please email me if you have more info):

That’s all my tiny brain can think of…so what about shows? Well here is some stuff you really want to know about! April is making it work…it has a TON of amazing shows happening around town. In fact its such a busy time, there are shows happening on the same day that are super rad, and you will have to decide which one to miss. I can’t remember the last time that happened. Maybe you can catch a part of one show, and then head on over to catch the rest of another show? I dunno, but MAKE IT WORK! Here are some tips on how to do that:

1. You should probably plan to spend $10- $12 dollars to see these shows (sorry inflation finally made costs increase from the usual $5).

3. BRING YOUR FIRENDS AND ENJOY A NIGHT OUT!

Ah, yes….the shows below are gonna be sweet. Why? Well this is because they feature excellent local Sacramento bands, and some of these bands haven’t played a live show in a couple of years because of coco (covid)! Some of them are Sammie award winners, and some are Sammie award losers! These Upcoming shows include sets by The losin’ Streaks, Sacto Storytellers, The Philharmonik, Dusty Miller, Venetian Veil, Pets, ghostplay, Der Spazm, Clevers, and Poly Holiday.

April is looking good indeed. This blog also has some good shizzz in the works, like an interview with Charles Albright, a sneek peek at the upcoming Sun Valley Gun Club album, a possible collaboration with The Lirbrary of Musiclandria and whatever else we can find! Hopefully I am not putting all my eggs in one basket here, LOL!
